This is how Bikaji Foods started

Bikaji Foods was founded and is directed by Shivratan Agarwal, whose father and grandfather had previously operated a Namkeen manufacturing business under the name Halidram. Having grown up observing his father and grandfather, Shivratan became interested in preparing snacks and noodles.

This is the reason why he completed his studies only till 8th class and then after that, he started working in ‘Halidram’ with his family. When the Haldiram company was started, they achieved success in a very short time due to which fights started happening in the family over many things, and from here Shivratan planned to start his own separate business.

In the year 1993, Shivratan started the Bikaji Foods company, for which he first went abroad and from there he learned to make many other snacks and got information about different types of machines.

Started making different snacks

Shivratan put in a lot of effort to grow Bikaji Foods after it was founded. We should also mention that Shivratan began producing a variety of snacks for the business to grow it quickly. Bikaji Foods currently produces a variety of sweet and salty snacks.

Bikaji Foods began expanding quickly after it began exporting its snacks to Australia and the United Arab Emirates during the first ten years of its operation.

Today it has become a company worth Rs 1000 crore

Bikaji Company, which started in 1993, has today become a company with a valuation of more than Rs 1000 crore. Today, Bikaji makes more than 300 varieties of namkeen and produces more than 200 tonnes of snacks daily. Apart from this, today Bikaji Food’s business is spread in 40 countries.
