Revanth Reddy Fulfils A Key Poll Promise The new Telangana Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, removed the iron barriers in front of his official house as soon as he started his job. This was a promise he made during his campaign. Right after the oath-taking ceremony, there was a lot of activity at the Chief Minister’s house in Hyderabad.

Many big machines and workers were outside the house removing the iron rods. During his strong campaign, Mr Reddy promised to take away the barriers if Congress won the election.
Earlier today, Revanth Reddy became the new Chief Minister of India’s youngest state, taking over from K Chandrashekar Rao. The 54-year-old is the second leader of Telangana since it became a state in 2014. Reddy is well known for never giving up, and his fellow politicians and party workers admire him for it.
The Congress party won the election last month and now they had a ceremony to officially start their new roles in Hyderabad. Eleven of Mr. Reddy’s work friends promised to do their job, and Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka also promised to do his job as the second in command.

Mr Reddy and his team have a tough job ahead of them. They need to manage the little money they have and keep the promises the Congress party made before the elections. The Congress ran a strong campaign focusing on six promises, which is believed to have helped them win the election. However, it will be very difficult to find the money to make them happen.
The best thing out of the “six” is that women can travel for free on Telangana State Road Transport Corporation buses.
